Job summary

A telecommunications infrastructure provider is looking for Trainee FTTP Network Engineers to join on a self-employed basis, offering full training through the MJ Quinn Academy. Individuals will gain skills for installing ultrafast broadband services and must hold a valid UK driving licence, be physically fit, and possess strong communication skills. This role offers long-term opportunities for those motivated to learn and work across the UK, excluding the North West. PPE and all necessary equipment are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• A clean criminal record.
• Physically fit, able to work at height and climb telegraph poles.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to travel nationwide, working away from home.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and training guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Installing fibre cables from network distribution points to customer properties.
• Completing final connections inside customer homes.
• Testing fibre services using handheld testing equipment.
• Delivering excellent customer service at every stage.
