About the Role

As a Trainee Field Service Engineer you will be on the road, visiting customers' homes to diagnose and repair household appliances. You will be the friendly face of Hotpoint, helping people get their appliances back up and running.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive your own Hotpoint van to customer appointments
  • Diagnose and repair appliances such as tumble dryers, electrical cookers and washing machines
  • Provide top‑notch customer service
  • Manage your tools and spare parts stock
  • Promote Hotpoint products to customers
Training Journey
  • Welcome Induction (2 days) – meet your team, collect equipment and learn key safety information
  • Shadowing – follow an experienced engineer on the road to see the job in action
  • Phase 1 Training (3 weeks) – technical training at our specialist centre in Peterborough
  • On‑the‑Job Learning (6‑9 months) – build your skills with real customers
  • Phase 2 Training (2 weeks) – level up your knowledge by learning another appliance
What You'll Need
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Interest in electrics, mechanics or hands‑on problem‑solving
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Physically fit – able to move and lift appliances
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • No previous field engineering experience required – a great attitude and willingness to learn is enough
