Trainee Estimator - Lightning Protection Installations

Location: Unit 16-17 H2o Business Units, Lake View Drive, Annesley, Nottingham NG15 0HT

The role

Permanent and Full-time, 40 hours per week between Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with an hour lunch.

As a Trainee Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing quotations and converting a variety of new build and retrofit projects. You will work closely with other estimators and operational teams to ensure a smooth transition of projects to the contract management team.

  • Learn to prepare and produce risk assessments, designs, and quotations for lightning and surge protection projects.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to secure repeat business and generate new opportunities through proactive research.
  • Follow up on all quotations and manage client expectations. You may also be required to attend pre- and post-tender meetings.
Who we are looking for

This role is perfect for a self-motivated, intuitive individual who can build and maintain client relationships. We're looking for someone with an A* to C grade in a science, engineering, or maths-related A-level, who is confident interacting with customers.

While a knowledge of the construction industry is a plus, it’s not essential, as we provide full training to help you master this niche field. You should be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and have excellent time management skills. A full UK driving licence is also required for occasional travel.
