Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Trainee Domestic Energy Assessor in Coventry. You will receive full training through in-house and external courses to progress to a senior engineer, while supporting residents and coordinating with the office team.

You will attend pre-booked appointments, perform assessments per PAS2035, and travel across the Midlands with all travel and accommodation expenses covered. A UK driving licence and a relevant L3 Retrofit qualification are required.

Are you a college or university leaver with a Domestic Energy Assessor qualification or similar, looking for a role in an energy company where you will be provided with full training through in house and external courses, being fully supported to senior engineer?

This company are an established energy efficiency consultancy based in Coventry, working with clients across industrial and commercial sectors. Backed by strong revenues, a skilled team, and ongoing investment in technology, the firm delivers sustainability and net-zero solutions for households.

In this role you will be responsible for attending pre booked appointments, mostly domestic, completing property assessments following PAS2035 guidelines using digital tools like Matterport 3D capture. You will be collecting accurate data to help retrofit coordinators design effective energy efficiency plans. You will also work directly with residents to guide them through the process, while collaborating with the office team to deliver quality results. You will be expected to do at least one stay away per week, with all travel, fuel, and stay away costs being covered by the company.

This role would suit a college or university leaver with a L3 qualification in Retrofit Assessments or similar who is looking to join an energy consultancy where you will be provided with full training to progress you into a senior role, whilst enjoying yearly salary reviews and company bonuses.
