Gants Hill Smiles Dental in Ilford is offering a L3 Trainee Dental Nurse Apprentice role. You will work on-site alongside experienced clinicians and gain a nationally recognised qualification through an 18-month Apprenticeship (GDC 2023).

You will assist the dentist, prepare rooms and equipment, maintain infection control, and support patient care while developing essential clinical skills and professional registrations.

Qualifications

• GCSE English (Grade A-C / 4-9)
• GCSE Mathematics (Grade A-C / 4-9)
• Candidates may inform the employer of any additional qualifications or relevant experience, as prior learning may affect the training plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during patient treatments and procedures
• Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment
• Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control
• Prepare treatment rooms before and after appointments
• Support patient care and help patients feel comfortable during treatment
• Keep accurate clinical records and update patient notes
• Ensure dental materials and supplies are stocked and organised
• Follow Health & Safety policies and practice procedures
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of clinical areas
• Work collaboratively as part of the dental team
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
