Job Title: Trainee Crew Coordinator

Location: Bristol, BS1 2BD

Onsite/Hybrid: Onsite for first 3 months, then hybrid

Why Join Us?

Our Crewing Team in Bristol plays a key role in the hiring and logistics support for our offshore resources for our vessels. We have an urgent need for a Trainee Crew Coordinator to join the team to provide essential support and ensure a critical part of our business is operational. The successful candidate will be team player and able to communicate well with stakeholders at all levels from Roughnecks and Drillers to Rig Managers and Project Managers.

You’ll play a key role in supporting global crew movements — from arranging travel and coordinating vaccinations to preparing essential documents like travel letters and joining instructions, ensuring every offshore deployment runs smoothly from start to finish.

What you’ll do:
  • Ensuring all personnel requirements are fulfilled across assigned assets operating internationally
  • Checking availability of requested crew and choosing the necessary offshore staff together in one operational team to support the projects whilst ensuring timely crew changes and transferring operational teams to the external crew management service for deployment.
  • Assisting in scheduling and coordinating crew members for project assignment.
  • Supporting coordination of travel, accommodation and logistic for crew deployment.
  • Checking compliance issues to ensure the candidates meet offshore working conditions, appropriate for the country where operations are taking place.
  • Providing administrative support, including data entry and report generating.
  • Ensuring all crew positions have an up-to-date and signed off job description.
  • Collaborating with crewing coordinators and other departments to ensure smooth operations and ensuring all information is updated and accurate.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure communication and liaison with crew agents for any necessary crewing needs.
  • Recruiting necessary crew for assigned assets and preparing adverts on recruitment platforms.
  • Searching for candidates in a timely and appropriate manner for the needs of specific projects and liaising with management.
  • Willingness to provide support to others and assisting with interdepartmental tasks.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary, within the boundaries of the role and the incumbent's competence.

  3. Interview with Hiring Manager (45 min.): A deeper discussion about your skills, experience, and how you would approach the role.
  4. Final Onsite Interview (60 min.): Interview with our Head or HR and meet with key members of the Crewing Team.
  5. Offer: If selected, you’ll receive a formal offer and details regarding next steps
