Job summary

A leading NHS trust in Walsall is seeking a Trainee Clinical Nurse Endoscopist to join their team. This role is focused on delivering expert patient care within the Endoscopy department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress from an AfC Band 7 to 8a after training completion. Responsibilities include conducting endoscopies, liaising with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe patient practices. This is a training post with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence and research-based care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Endoscopy department required.
• Training as an AfC Band 7 Clinical Nurse Endoscopist.
• Ability to work autonomously after qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients prior to and following endoscopy.
• Take endoscopic biopsies and manage patient care.
• Lead endoscopy sessions and collaborate with MDT members.

Experience in Endoscopy

Ability to administer local anaesthetic
