Job summary

Butcombe Boutique Inns in the UK is seeking a Trainee Chef to join a bustling kitchen at some of our stunning locations. You’ll support the team with prep, learn to cook and present dishes to standard, and help maintain cleanliness and organisation as you build the foundations of a rewarding culinary career.

You’ll work with experienced chefs to develop skills, follow health and safety procedures, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the kitchen team in the preparation and delivery of high-quality, freshly cooked food
• Learning how to cook and present dishes in line with company standards and menu specifications
• Assisting with basic food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and organising ingredients
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety across all kitchen areas
• Supporting stock rotation, deliveries, and ensuring ingredients are stored correctly
• Working closely with experienced chefs to develop your skills and confidence in a professional kitchen
• Following all health & safety, food safety, and kitchen procedures at all times
• Bringing a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong team spirit to every shift

What You'll Be Doing
