Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Trainee Chef/Apprentice at Swinton barracks, Perham Down, Andover, SP11 9LQ. You will learn cooking techniques from experienced chefs while working toward a professional qualification.

No prior experience is required; you will receive on-the-job training, fully funded apprenticeship qualifications, and clear career development within Sodexo, within a supportive team and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; enthusiasm and a great attitude.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Passion for food and interest in a chef career.
• Based in Andover with shift pattern including early starts.

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop essential cooking techniques from experienced chefs.
• Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Gain hands-on experience while studying toward a professional qualification.

Job description

• 37.5 hours per week
• Any 5 out of 7 days/ 06.30-14.30, 12.00-20.00, 10.00-18.00
• £13.03 per hour
• On-the-job training with experienced professionals
