Job summary

Dunbia invites motivated individuals to join its Butchery Academy in Llanybydder, Wales, to become a qualified butcher. This paid apprenticeship starts with hands-on skill-building and progresses toward a nationally recognised qualification through a supported program.

You will train with master butchers, develop meat-cutting expertise, and work within a dedicated team as you pursue a long-term career in the meat processing industry.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; right attitude and commitment.
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn a skilled trade.
• Able to work well in a team and take direction.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing

As a trainee butcher in our academy, you will:

• Learn and apply core butchery skills, techniques and best practices
• Develop confidence using a range of meat cutting tools and machinery
• Work as part of a dedicated, professional team
• Build strong knowledge of the food processing industry

After 3-6 months you will be enrolled on the apprenticeship program to continue your development.
