Job summary

First Bus in Slough is hiring a Trainee Bus Driver for a permanent, full-time position (38 hours/week). No prior experience required; training is provided. You will work across mornings, evenings, and weekends with shift patterns planned in advance for structure and flexibility.

Starting pay is £15.12 per hour during training, rising to £17.81 per hour when fully qualified. Background checks are standard in our recruitment process, and benefits support your health, travel, and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Applicant must be at least 18 years old with at least 6 months driving experience.
• Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Willingness to work a rota/shift pattern including early mornings, late nights and weekends.
• Good interpersonal skills and customer-facing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete training to become a trainee bus driver.
• Work across mornings, evenings and weekends on a rotating shift pattern.
• Progress through pay steps as training and experience increase.
• Undergo standard background checks as part of recruitment.
