Location: Andover area (including nearby villages)

Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE + overtime + monthly bonus after probation

Job Type: Full-time, permanent, Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm

Are you practical, hands‑on, and eager to build a career in a specialist engineering trade?

We are a well‑established, family‑run business that designs, manufactures, and installs high‑quality bespoke automated gates for the residential market. Known for craftsmanship, honesty, and a passion for perfection, we are looking for a Trainee Automation Engineer to join our growing team.

What you'll be doing:
  • Working alongside experienced engineers on site to install and automate bespoke gates
  • Digging posts, running cabling, and assisting with electrical installations
  • Supporting the commissioning of control boards and systems
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Learning key skills such as groundwork, gate fitting, problem solving and welding (training provided if required)
  • Travelling to different sites (sometimes up to 100 miles) with occasional late finishes to meet deadlines
What we're looking for:
  • Enthusiastic and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Enjoys hands‑on work and problem solving
  • Comfortable working outside in all conditions
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • Based in or around the Andover area
