Trainee Assistant Site Manager - Haverhill, Suffolk

Our client, a highly respected national housebuilder, is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Trainee Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a brand-new residential development in Haverhill.

This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about housebuilding, eager to learn, and ready to take their first step into site management. Whether you're currently studying a construction-related qualification, recently completed one, or simply keen to break into the industry, this is an excellent pathway into a long-term career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in supervising day-to-day site operations.
  • Support health & safety compliance across the development.
  • Help coordinate trades, materials, and site logistics.
  • Learn to identify and report quality issues or defects.
  • Assist with site paperwork, progress reports, and documentation.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site visitors.
  • Provide support during customer inspections and handover processes.
About You
  • Keen to start or progress a career in construction/site management.
  • Studying or holding a qualification in Construction, Built Environment or similar (preferred but not essential).
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn.
  • Strong communicator with good problem-solving skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work well in a team.
