A leading NHS healthcare provider in the UK is seeking full-time ASC-LD practitioners to join their CAMHS teams. The role involves working with children and families to deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions for those facing mental health challenges. Ideal candidates must have completed specific postgraduate training in Autism and Learning Disabilities. Opportunities for professional development and regular supervision are provided. This position is based in Southall and presents a chance to work within a diverse and welcoming environment.
We have an exciting opportunity within our West London CAMHS teams. We are recruiting three full-time 1-year fixed-term Band 6 ASC-LD practitioner posts (2 in Ealing CAMHS, and 1 in Hammersmith & Fulham CAMHS). The post‑holders will have completed or be due to complete the CYP‑IAPT Psychological Therapies Autism/Learning Disability course. We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic ASC‑LD practitioners, who have a passion for creative, adaptive and neuro‑affirmative practices, to bring their knowledge, experience and skills into our welcoming and warm CAMHS teams.
The roles will be based within the Ealing CAMHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST), Hammersmith and Fulham Neuro‑developmental Learning Difficulties (NDLD) team, and a joint Ealing CAMHS MHST and Learning Disabilities Team.
Please note that we will only shortlist candidates who have completed or are due to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Child & Young Person IAPT Therapy (Autism Spectrum Conditions and Learning Disabilities; PGDip), and who meet the person specification requirements. Other candidates will not be considered.
You will offer a high‑quality service to young people, families / carers, alongside working effectively with your colleagues and liaising with other professionals in the network. CYP‑IAPT training will enable you to deliver – under intensive supervision – high quality, focused evidence‑based therapeutic interventions for children and young people with Autism and / or a Learning Disability experiencing moderate mental health difficulties (e.g. low mood and anxiety). This in turn will equip those in post to operate effectively in an inclusive, value driven mental health service. The roles will be exciting and varied, including individual and group working in a CAMHS setting, enabling the post holders to develop a range of skills and experience that build on their learning from the Postgraduate Diploma in Child & Young Person IAPT Therapy (Autism Spectrum Conditions and Learning Disabilities; PGDip). The post provides excellent opportunities for professional development and regular supervision.
