Trainee Archivist / Legal Cashier – Chichester

Salary: Competitive

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone with a strong commitment to learning, to develop a valued skillset and become part of a fantastic team based in Chichester. My client is offering a mixed and varied role where training will be given throughout.

The role is full‑time, working 9 am to 5:15 pm Monday to Friday at the Chichester Office.

Main responsibilities / key tasks (not exhaustive)
Archiving
  • To archive files in accordance with the firm’s policies and regulatory requirements
  • To maintain the client database in connection with archived files
  • To liaise with fee earners, external storage, and secure shredding companies in relation to file collection, retrieval, and destruction.
Trainee Legal Cashier
  • Processing financial transactions relating to client matters in a timely manner and in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Managing and reconciling supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring invoices are paid within agreed terms.
  • Preparing payment runs, including BACS transfers and cheque payments.
  • Processing petty cash and credit card expenditure.
