Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking an Alloy Wheel Technician for our Nottingham Motorstore. The role involves carrying out small repairs and paintwork on alloy wheels, milling and cutting diamond-cut alloys, and removing/refitting tyres.

Qualifications

• Experience with alloy wheel repairs and painting is required.
• Ability to work on your own initiative with good people skills.
• Energetic and self-motivated with a proactive approach.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alloy wheels for paintwork.
• Carry out small alloy wheel repairs.
• Remove and refit tyres.
• Balance wheels after repairs.
• Mix paint and apply to wheels to high standards.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 17:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 16:30pm and alternate Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm

About the role

As an Arnold Clark Alloy Wheel Technician, it will be your role to carry out small repairs and paintwork to alloy wheels, as well as milling and cutting diamond-cut alloys. The right person for the role should be energetic and self-motivated. It’s important that you can work on your own initiative, and have great people skills.

Day-to-day duties

• Preparing alloy wheels for paintwork
• Carrying out small alloy wheel repairs
• Removing and refitting tyres
• Balancing wheels after they’ve been repaired
• Mixing paint to apply to wheels
• Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard

Essential skills

• A good eye for detail
• The ability to multi-task
• Willingness to work on your own initiative
