Orka Financial are working with a great client of ours who are based in Slough that is looking to recruit a Trainee Accounts Assistant. This role reports into the Financial Controller and the role will be carry out routine accounting and administrative tasks to support the finance team. The role includes processing supplier invoices, assisting with bookkeeping, handling expenses, and providing cover for other finance staff when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure they are recorded accurately.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including posting transactions to the accounting system.
  • Support with processing employee expense claims and maintaining petty cash records.
  • Carry out routine financial administration, including filing and document maintenance.
  • Assist with data entry, reconciliations, and other routine finance tasks as directed.
  • Provide cover for team members during absence or busy periods.
  • Follow established finance procedures and maintain accurate records.
Key Skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain consistent standards.
  • Basic IT skills, including use of spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
