Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic for our Oconomowoc, WI operation. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and help keep fleet vehicles safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ hands-on experience with class 7-8 trailer maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Willingness to meet the physical demands and pass pre-employment screenings (drug screen, DOT if required).

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00/hour (based on experience) Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm

What We’re Looking For

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
