Job summary

SPR Trailer Services Ltd. is seeking a Trailer Technician / Fitter to join our team in Immingham, North East Lincolnshire. The role involves on-site servicing, roadside repairs, and workshop MOT preparation for trailers, with a strong emphasis on safety and high-quality workmanship.

You will bring mechanical/engineering experience, a full driving licence, and a proactive approach. A C+E licence is advantageous and training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out on-site servicing and breakdown cover as required.

• Performing trailer checks and repairs at the quayside.
• Following company procedures, safe systems of work, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Working efficiently, responsibly, and to a high standard.

Trailer Technician / Fitters - SPR Trailer Services is a trusted, full-service trailer specialist offering comprehensive maintenance, servicing, MOTs, quay checks, and 24/7 roadside repairs. We’re looking for both skilled Trailer Technicians / Fitters to join our established and respected team based in Immingham, North East Lincolnshire.

Company benefits

• Competitive Salary: Skilled fitters can expect a base salary of around £43,000 per annum depending on experience, with realistic potential annual earnings of £47,000+
• Other benefits:
  • Double time pay for all non‑rostered overtime

As a Trailer Technician / Fitter, you’ll be responsible for:

• Carrying out on‑site servicing and breakdown cover as required
• Preparing trailers in the workshop for MOT inspections
• Attending roadside breakdowns and completing repairs/servicing at customer sites
• Performing trailer checks and repairs at the quayside
• Following company procedures, safe systems of work, and Health & Safety regulations
• Working efficiently, responsibly, and to a high standard
• A C+E licence is advantageous (training can be provided if required)
• To be part of the out of hours on‑call team. Attractive additional renumeration paid

About You

As a Trailer Technician / Fitter you’ll bring relevant experience in a similar role, with a strong background of mechanical or engineering skills. Reliability, strong time management, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. A full driving licence is essential.
