Trailer Technician

Peterborough

We are currently seeking an experienced Trailer Technician to join our busy and growing workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong background in trailer maintenance, welding, and fitting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on trailers
  • Welding and fabrication work (MIG/TIG/Arc as required)
  • Fitting and replacing trailer components including brakes, axles, suspension, and landing legs
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently and safely
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations
  • Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Trailer Technician or similar role
  • Competent in welding and fabrication
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of trailers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds)
  • HGV licence
  • Experience with LOLER inspections
