Qualifications

• Experience with Transport Software is advantageous.

Overview

Location: Middlesbrough  Salary: £28,000

A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Middlesbrough site. As an experienced Transport Planner you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained. The role will be on a permanent night shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning routes and managing drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings.
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOTd before use; assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to remain compliant.
• Assist drivers and customers with queries and issues that arise during a route.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport environment; ideally with knowledge of containers.
• Confident, strong communicator, and able to work under pressure.
• Experience with Transport Software is advantageous.

Shift and Location

The role will be based in the Middlesbrough depot and the working hours will be on a permanent night shift either 6pm-4am or 7pm-5am. There is some flexibility to work either Sunday - Thursday or Monday - Friday.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 per annum depending on experience, plus a number of company benefits.
