- Directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and workers
- Safely escorting vehicles to where they need to be
- Signing off muck‑away, plant deliveries etc
- Strict PPE adherence, including wearing high‑visibility clothing, helmets, boots, gloves etc.
- Proficient in setting up and maintaining traffic control equipment such as cones, barricades, signs, and temporary traffic lights to guide traffic safely through the work zone and minimize disruptions to traffic flow
- Confident interacting with members of the public, including motorists, pedestrians, and local residents, to provide information, directions, or assistance as needed, while maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times
- Able to communicate effectively with site team
- Able to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, accidents, or incidents within the work zone, such as providing first aid
- Keeping accurate records and documentation of traffic control activities, including daily logs
