Responsibilities
The Traffic Management Coordinator is a pivotal role within our utilities sector as you will take full responsibility for building and coordinating all activities for our utilities contracts. You will report to the Contract Manager to assist in logistically managing the workload of a team of Traffic Management Operatives to ensure they are undertaking work at the expected standards, times and locations.
- Coordination and Logistics: Responsible for building, reviewing and creating picking lists for all work onto our ERP system.
- Liaison with our client to fulfil capacity efficiently.
- Schedule planned and reactive works using all tools available to achieve contractual SLA's and KPI's.
- Customer Service: Attend meetings with the team and client, in person and online; provide information to our clients; address customer enquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Financial Management: Assist in maintaining financial transactions as part of the job building process to ensure we are maximising revenue and in line with contractual rates.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of contract and operational delivery areas.
- Communication: Assist in answering calls from the client and customers and direct internally to relevant parties; maintain effective communication channels with the contract team, supervisors, managers and operatives to maintain operational efficiencies; liaise with our client on job‑specific requirements and maintain accurate data on internal and external systems.
- Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions to enhance your administration skills; develop a solid understanding of our contract and services to assist clients effectively; learn about cross‑aspects of the contract for assisting in other areas when required.
General hours of work are 42.5 hours per week, with varying shift patterns between 7 am and 6 pm, including some weekend shifts on a rota basis.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Confident to work with Orion/SAP and other IT systems.
- Must be confident in working in a high‑pressure environment and meeting tight deadlines/SLA's, where required.
- Excellent communication skills both face‑to‑face and over the telephone.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Ability to quickly resolve scheduling and logistics conflicts.
- Ability to complete work tasks with thoroughness, accuracy and consistency.
- Customer‑focused attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and take a proactive approach to tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record‑keeping.
- Traffic management experience, but this is not essential.
- Scheduling & Planning experience, again not essential as full training will be provided.
