Job Title: Trading System Engineer - Rates and Credit Fixed Income

Location: London

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President/Vice President

You will play a key role in the transformation of Rates and Credit Fixed Income technology landscape. As part of our multi-year platform modernisation project, you will be responsible for building a suite of new, real-time, high-performance applications supporting various trading workflows.

You will be involved in building solutions across the stack and working closely with Business stakeholders to build a maintainable, operationally efficient and scalable platform to last the next decade.

Your key responsibilities
  • Develop a suite of Modern, Real-Time, High-Performance micro-services to support core Rates and Credit trading workflows
  • Collaborate with engineers across the stack to design and deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Engage Directly with Business Stakeholders to gather requirements, understand workflows and rapidly deliver impactful features that improve business efficiency
Your skills and experience
  • Good understanding of Programming fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling and concurrency programming. Experience with reactive programming models is a plus
  • Experience with microservice concepts and frameworks, including event-driven architectures, with a desire to build deeper expertise
  • Experience in designing, building and deploying RESTful and event-driven APIs, with foundational knowledge of SQL and relational database design, plus exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • Awareness of UI constraints and experience with React and Typescript is a plus
