Job summary

Morrisons Ilkeston trading role is a Store Trading Manager position based in Derbyshire. You will lead a team to deliver market-leading product availability, plan promotions, and ensure safety and compliance across departments.

You’ll manage shift rotas, attendance and develop staff to work flexibly across areas. Reporting to Store Manager, you’ll drive performance, customer experience and daily operations, with opportunities for career progression and participation in our Leadership School

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage shift rotas, attendance and talent development.
• Comfort stepping up as Manager in Charge when required.

Making sure our shelves are fully stocked is key to a fantastic shopping experience, which is why our Trading Managers are so vital to our success.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you'll bring a hands-on approach to managing store-wide trading routines. You'll lead your team to deliver market-leading product availability, run smooth promotional events, and ensure every aisle is safe, legal, and ready for trade.

In this role, you'll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Lead your team to deliver outstanding shopping experiences, planning promotions and acting on customer feedback to keep standards high.
• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to work flexibly across departments.
• Drive performance and availability: Lead a supportive, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.
