Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group in Reading is looking for Trading Assistants to stock shelves, check freshness, and support customers throughout the store. You will work overnight in a fast-paced environment, ensuring products are available and well displayed.

You’ll gain detailed product knowledge to provide confident recommendations and assist with deliveries as needed. Fast learners who enjoy hands-on work, enjoy helping customers, and can adapt across store tasks will thrive.

Qualifications

  • Minimum application age 18 due to working hours and goods handled (alcohol, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Collect stock from warehouse and replenish shelves across the store.
  • Keep shelves clean, tidy and well-presented for customers.
  • Assist with deliveries as required and support across store operations.
  • Provide helpful, proactive customer service and answer questions as needed.
  • Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to help with recommendations.

Job description

Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping our shelves clean, tidy and full of well-presented products.

Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help.

Date checking fresh produce and grocery products.

Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required.

Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations.

Have great attention to detail, keeping the store clean and clutter free, always looking to create the best shopping experience for our customers.
