Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Oxford is hiring a Trading Assistant for part-time hours at Walton Street Local Store. The role involves stocking, serving customers at checkouts, and supporting deliveries to keep the store well-presented and ready for shoppers.

You will join a small team, contribute to a fast-paced environment, and help with on-demand grocery orders and Click & Collect. Eligibility includes being 18+, Right to Work in the UK, with flexible, proactive customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team to prepare store for customers and ensure a fast, convenient shopping experience.
• Collect stock from warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg) to replenish shelves, serve customers at checkouts, assist with deliveries and keep the store clean and well-presented.
• Pick best quality products on the shop floor for customers using the on-demand grocery ordering service and assist with Click & Collect parcels.
• Be proactive in helping customers, answer questions, and learn about products, services and promotions.
• Date check fresh produce and groceries to ensure quality for shoppers.

Eligibility:

• The minimum application age for this role is 18, due to the working hours and type of goods (alcohol, tobacco etc) that you may be required to handle.

What you’ll be doing:

• Working as part of a small team to ensure that all aspects of the store are ready for our customers to provide a convenient and speedy shopping experience
• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish shelves across the store, serving customers on checkouts, supporting with deliveries and keeping the store well-presented, clean and tidy
• Picking and selecting the best quality products on the shop floor for customers using our On-demand grocery ordering service and assisting customers with Click & Collect parcels.
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
