Job summary

ASDA is hiring a Trading Assistant to support the Buyer in all aspects of the Buying category. The role involves sales tracking, admin upkeep, supplier liaison, and contributing to range and promotion decisions.

The position is permanent, full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, with a hybrid working pattern requiring at least 3 days in one of our Home Offices. A strong benefits package is available including bonus, pension, staff discount, and wellbeing services.

Responsibilities

• Support the Buyer in all areas, including sales tracking and analysis.
• Keep admin up to date, including line listing, cost and retail changes.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure deadlines and tasks are met.
• Input decisions on ranges and promotions based on trading insights.
• Raise and reconcile internal and external invoices for the category.
• Assist the Buyer with competitor research and day‑to‑day trading activities.
