Job summary

Sainsbury’s in Walton-on-Thames is seeking a Trading Assistant to replenish shelves, stock items from the warehouse, and keep displays well-presented. You’ll help customers, respond to questions, and promote offers with confident product knowledge.

The role is fast-paced and requires flexibility across shifts. Benefits include staff discounts, free food and drinks, pension contributions, and wellbeing support, with training to grow within the team.

Responsibilities

• Collect stock from the warehouse using roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish shelves.
• Serve customers brilliantly, answer questions, and proactively offer help.
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions for recommendations.
• Date check fresh produce and groceries.
• Support across the store and with deliveries as required.

Job description

What you’ll be doing:

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish items across the store, keeping our shelves tidy and full of well-presented products
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required

Eligibility:

• You must be above the school-leaver age in your country School leaving age - GOV.UK
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
• If the shifts for this role cover hours earlier than 6am or later than 11pm, you will need to be at least 18 years of age
