SSE is seeking an experienced Tradesperson to join our civil crafts team in the Oxford/Cirencester/Swindon area. You will undertake running repairs to electrical substation buildings and enclosures, including painting, fencing, carpentry, bricklaying, roofing and wiring as needed.

The role is permanent, full-time and onsite with a company vehicle provided. A full UK driving licence and flexible working hours are required.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out risk assessments and follow Lone Working Procedures; stop work if safety rules are breached and alert management.
• Apply correct Health and Safety risk assessments to mitigate hazards.
• Ensure CDM Regulations compliance when working with external contractors and report issues to the civils team.
• Represent SSE professionally, respond to enquiries, and monitor customer satisfaction.

Salary: £36,139 - £43,188 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Onsite

We are looking for an experienced Civil Crafts/Tradesperson to join our team.

As a craftsperson you will undertake running repairs to electrical substation buildings and enclosures.

This will typically include the following activity types; painting, fencing, carpentry, brick laying, small roofing, small wiring, windows / glazing and any other adhoc activities that will assist in the installation, repair, and upkeep of operational buildings within SSEN.

You will:

• Plan and perform tasks such as painting, fencing, carpentry, bricklaying, small roofing/wiring, glazing, and other building upkeep activities under ESQCR regulations.
• Carry out risk assessments and follow Lone Working Procedures; stop work if health and safety rules are breached and elevate immediate risks promptly.
• Apply correct Health and Safety risk assessments to mitigate hazards effectively.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations when working with external contractors and report issues to the civils compliance coordinator or team manager.
• Represent SSE professionally, respond to enquiries, and monitor satisfaction to deliver world-class service.

You have:

• Proven Background in a construction trade
• Ability to work alone
• A good level of Health and Safety awareness
• Excellent communication skill and the ability of speak with people at all levels
• IT skills to enable the recording and updating of all required data.

A full UK driving licence and flexible approach to working hours and work location is a must. Company vehicle will be provided for work duties.
