Job Title: Trade Supervisor

Compensation: Up to £50,118 depending on experience + Benefits + 35% Shift Allowance

The role

As a Trade Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, leading a skilled team of Industrial Trades professionals. Your leadership will drive the success of critical maintenance and commissioning activities on Fleet Assets, directly contributing to national defence and engineering excellence.

Day-to-day you’ll be required to:

  • Lead and motivate a team delivering planned and reactive maintenance, testing, and commissioning
  • Collaborate with Nuclear Repair Enablement and Fleet Programme Teams to plan and schedule work
  • Review and prepare all safety, quality, and technical documentation before tasks begin
  • Manage subcontractors to deliver work packages in line with site processes
  • Champion safe working practices and conduct risk assessments to uphold safety standards

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane. Shift patterns apply and may vary depending on operational requirements. A shift allowance of 35 percent is included for roles working these patterns.

Essential experience of the Trade Supervisor
  • Experience in a similar supervisory role within a highly regulated industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Safe Systems of Work
  • Familiarity with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Comfortable working safely at varying heights
Qualifications for the Trade Supervisor
  • HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience
  • ILM Level 3 certification is desirable but not essential

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
