Job summary

Nomura is seeking a Software Engineer (Associate) to join the GMIT Trade Processing team in London on a hybrid basis. You will contribute to designing, building and deploying a global trade processing system and related services for cross-asset trading.

The role requires strong Java development skills, experience with messaging systems such as JMS, Pulsar or Solace, and familiarity with Spring frameworks. Knowledge of SQL Server, JavaScript/React or Python is a plus, with potential to explore AI

Qualifications

Strong Java development skills with testing and DevOps in the development cycle.
Experience with distributed messaging technologies (e.g., JMS, Apache Pulsar, Solace).
Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server.
Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, and Project Reactor/Spring Webflux would be ideal.
Skills in JavaScript/React and/or Python would be beneficial.
Knowledge of AI in development workflows and integrating AI with Trade Processing tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and test services for capture, persistence and distribution of trades and related data.
Leverage DevOps services for deployment to non-production and production environments.
Provide system support and maintenance (not 1st level).
Coordinate with Global Markets technology teams to build capabilities across applications.
