Job summary

Argos is seeking a Trade Planning Assistant to coordinate priorities across Commercial, Digital, Marketing, Retail and Supply Chain. You will help execute weekly trade priorities, analyse competitor activity and support cross-functional planning to respond quickly in a fast-paced retail landscape.

You will work with Marketing and multiple teams to ensure plans are executed, while reviewing performance to identify risks and opportunities and drive improvements.

  • Good commercial awareness and analytical capability.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the weekly trade plan, coordinating priorities and critical paths.
  • Lead our Competitor Analysis Hub activity, capturing market insight and opportunities.
  • Support the delivery of the Business Priority List (BPL), ensuring updates and actions are communicated.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional teams to translate plans into action.
  • Review performance to identify risks/opportunities and advise on actions to improve outcomes.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and support continuous improvement across Trade Planning.

Job description

Sitting at the heart of the Argos business, Trade Planning connects the moving parts that help turn strategy into action.

As a Trade Planning Assistant, you'll work across Commercial, Digital, Marketing, Retail and Supply Chain, helping to coordinate priorities, identify opportunities and ensure we execute brilliantly for customers. From supporting weekly trade priorities and analysing competitor activity to coordinating business-wide planning, you'll help ensure we're focused on the right opportunities and responding quickly to an ever-changing retail landscape.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working at pace, loves solving problems and wants broad exposure across the Argos business.

What you'll do

Support the delivery of the weekly trade plan, helping to coordinate priorities, manage critical paths and ensure the business is aligned behind what matters most.

Lead our Competitor Analysis Hub activity, capturing market insight, identifying opportunities and highlighting emerging trends that can influence both short and long-term plans.

Support the operational delivery of the Business Priority List (BPL), ensuring updates, submissions and actions are communicated clearly and delivered on time.

Work closely with Marketing and a wide range of cross-functional teams to ensure plans are executed seamlessly and our priorities is translated into action.

Review performance, identify risks and opportunities, and help recommend actions that improve execution, customer outcomes and commercial performance.

Look for ways to improve processes, simplify ways of working and support continuous improvement across Trade Planning activity.

A strong communicator and relationship builder, you'll be confident working across different teams, influencing others and contributing to discussions that help drive the business forward.

Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive mindset, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in how a fast-paced retail business operates.
