Job summary

A leading global marketing firm in Rochdale is seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to optimize trade and shopper marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and at least 3 years of experience in trade marketing or category management. You will lead programs across multiple platforms and analyze trade data to maximize ROI. This position offers a collaborative environment with a focus on innovation and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Based on analytics and customer KPI´s, recommend go-to-market trade marketing elements including retailer product assortment, pricing, and merchandising (both in-store and online)

  • Develop and lead the implementation of shopper marketing programs on all customer-owned platforms (.com, email, apps, loyalty programs and in-store

  • Offer thought leadership on optimized merchandising solutions to maximize shoppability and logical adjacencies

  • Analyze overall Customer trade spend, promotional effectiveness, ROI and manage shopper marketing / trade budget to maximize ROI

  • Develop Customer selling stories (both national and account specific) and coordinate Customers line reviews to help drive top line sales, awareness, and trial of products

Additional Responsibilities

  • Co-lead Category- and Shelf Management projects for customer specific initiatives

  • Generate and evaluate SAP Sales & Product Reports such as providing monthly analysis on retail accounts

  • Analyze key market, product, and sales data to identify any strengths, weaknesses, opportunities or threats for the business

  • Develop Planograms

Organization
  • Direct line reporting: Country Marketing Lead (Country Mkt. Manager / Director)

Interactions (internal / external)
  • Internal: Digital and Product Marketing, Business Intelligence, Regional Marketing, Packaging / R&D, Plant, Creative and Sales

  • External: Customers, Sales Brokers, Demo companies, Shopper Marketing vendors, and 3rd Party data vendors such as IRI

Qualifications

Professional Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Business Administration with focus on Marketing, Sales beneficial
  • Minimum 3 years of functional experience in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing or Category Management or Sales; Consumer Packaged Goods preferred
  • Experience in shopper behavior and -data
  • Clear understanding of major retail customers & buyer trade / sales processes =(customer centricity)
  • Project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical skills & fluent abilities to work with IRI, Nielsen and other data in Excel and MS Access (a plus)
