Tesco is seeking a Trade Maintenance Build Technician to cover Kent and East Sussex. You will perform general building repairs and multi-trade tasks to keep stores and carparks safe, functional, and welcoming for customers and colleagues.

The role involves brickwork, carpentry, pothole repairs, drainage fixes, and other maintenance duties. You will work both independently and as part of a team, with flexibility for weekend overtime and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• Practical experience in general building work across multiple trades.
• City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry and Joinery is advantageous.
• Good health & safety awareness and basic IT skills.

As a Trade Maintenance Build Technician covering Kent and East Sussex areas, you’ll play a key role in keeping our stores and carparks safe, functional, and welcoming for customers and colleagues. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for a wide range of building maintenance tasks—both planned and reactive—helping to ensure everything runs smoothly day to day.

Your work will include general building repairs and upkeep, such as brickwork, carpentry, pothole repairs, and drainage fixes. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same, so flexibility and problem‑solving skills are essential.

We’re looking for someone with a solid background in general building work who can turn their hand to a variety of multi‑trade repair work and deliver high standards every time. • Practical experience in general building work, including:
• Bricklaying & masonry
• Roof construction and maintenance
• Cement and concrete preparation
• Groundworks & paving
• Tiling and flooring
• Plastering & dry walling

• A full UK driving licence
• Strong health & safety awareness
• Good communication skills for working with colleagues and stakeholders
• Basic IT skills (e.g., using mobile devices and Office 365 for updates)
• City &Guilds qualification covering both Carpentry and Joinery advantageous
