Overview

Job Title: Trade Counter Assistant

Location: Coventry

Salary: 13.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30 + 2 Saturdays per month (rota basis)

Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities

• Shadowing experienced staff during initial training period
• Assisting customers với product enquiries and purchases
• Selling timber products and providing product advice
• Operating a busy trade counter and till system
• Handling returns and processing orders accurately
• Using computer systems for stock checks and order entry
• Maintaining a clean and organised counter area
• Delivering excellent customer service at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience in a trade counter, retail, or customer service role
• Comfortable using computers and processing transactions
• Strong communication skills and a helpful attitude
• Punctual, responsible, and team-oriented
• Willing to work two Saturdays per month on a rota basis
• Looking for a stable, long-term opportunity
