Job summary

Heathrow Airport is seeking an on-site maintenance engineer to look after the Track Transit System and Driverless POD assets. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and drive improvements to ensure safety and reliability in a fast-paced airport environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, regulatory compliance, and a clear focus on continuous improvement within Heathrow's engineering team.

Qualifications

Must hold a recognised multi-skilled NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant mechanical and electrical engineering discipline.
NVQ areas include Engineering Maintenance (Electrical&Mechanical), Electrical&Electronic, Electromechanical, Mechatronic, Controls, Electrical Installation (AM2) or Rail maintenance.
Full UK driving licence including ability to obtain/maintain airside licences/permits.

Responsibilities

Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on Heathrow's Track Transit System (TTS) and Driverless POD assets.
Diagnose faults, improve performance, and implement effective solutions.
Maintain accurate maintenance histories to drive efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Promote safety, identify hazards, and foster a safe working environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement and asset replacement programmes.
Collaborate with the team to ensure safe, reliable operations at Heathrow.
