Cyprotex, part of the Evotec Group, invites applications for an Associate Scientist (Toxicology) on a 6-month fixed-term contract at Alderley Park, Macclesfield. You will develop expertise across High-Content Screening, Seahorse, Flow Cytometry, and plate reader platforms while supporting drug discovery programs and regulatory studies.

Qualifications

• BSc in a life science subject; lab experience via placement or project.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Organisational skills with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations.
• Good problem-solving skills with initiative.
• Proficiency in MS Office and LIMS.

Responsibilities

• Support Toxicology screening assays (HCI, mitochondrial toxicity).
• Perform work to high standards within timelines and safety regulations.
• Assist in running and maintaining robotic systems for high throughput processes.
• Aid data analysis and interpretation using biochemistry and cell biology knowledge.
• Prepare compounds, stocks and buffers.
• Carry out routine calibration of lab equipment.
• Stay updated with scientific advances and guidelines in toxicology.
