Penguin Recruitment is delighted to support a leading property and planning consultancy in the appointment of an experienced planning professional at Senior Planner, Associate or Associate Director level to join their team in Lewes or Guildford. The role offers ownership of projects and the opportunity to grow a client base within a diverse portfolio of planning applications.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualified with a strong track record within planning.
• Experience in either the private or public sector, ideally with consultancy experience.
• Confident managing projects and client relationships at all levels.
• Commercially minded with strong planning judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead your own planning projects from inception through to delivery.
• Work across a varied portfolio of planning applications, appeals and Local Plan representations.
• Provide commercially focused planning advice to landowners, developers and promoters.
• Support senior colleagues on more complex planning matters.
• Manage client relationships and develop long-term connections.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute towards growing your own client base.
• Coordinate external consultants and project inputs to ensure successful outcomes.
• Manage project budgets, deadlines and competing priorities.
• Contribute to the reputation and continued success of the wider planning team.
