Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to support town planning and consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects across the UK, including DCOs and TWAOs. Based in Leeds, you will work within multidisciplinary teams to secure consent under relevant acts.

You will provide technical planning advice to project managers, liaise with statutory bodies and stakeholders, and help develop knowledge within the team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
• Member of (or eligible for) the RTPI.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare Town & Country Planning Act applications for infrastructure projects across the UK.
• Support providing consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs etc).
• Assisting with providing technical advice to project managers to support client requirements.
• Supporting liaison with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients to help deliver projects.
• Ability to engage with teams across a variety of disciplines, building positive relationships within the team.
• Proactively engage with developing own knowledge and skills to build ability and team’s internal knowledge base.

The Infrastructure Planning Team at WSP seeks an experienced Senior Consultant to support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects across the UK. The role involves working within multidisciplinary teams to secure consent and approvals for major infrastructure projects under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008, Transport and Works Act Order, Planning (Wales) Act 2015, the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, and the Electricity Act.
