The Role

This is a full‑time position offering a hybrid working model (3 days in the Telford office and 2 days remote). You’ll collaborate directly with clients, consultants, and in‑house teams to deliver expert planning advice, prepare applications, and shape development strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support on planning applications, appraisals, pre‑apps, and development strategies.
  • Prepare and submit planning statements, reports, and design & access statements.
  • Provide clients with expert advice on local planning policy and its implications.
  • Work closely with internal teams in design, architecture, and landscape to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies, and stakeholders throughout the planning process.
  • Assist with planning appeals and public consultations as required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • MRTPI qualification (or working towards).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a consultancy, local authority, or developer setting.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the English planning system and policy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and solution‑oriented approach.
