Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Town Planner to join their Kent team. You will support a range of planning projects across residential, commercial, and land promotion schemes.

Office-based in Kent with exposure to evolving UK planning policy and strong client relationships. MRTPI qualification or progression toward chartership is expected, along with robust communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment.
• Good understanding of the UK planning system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
• Support project delivery across residential and commercial developments.
• Liaise with local planning authorities, consultees and clients.
• Conduct planning policy research and site appraisals.
• Prepare planning statements and supporting documentation.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and stakeholder consultations.
