We are recruiting for an experienced Tower Crane Electrician to join a specialist lifting business operating across the UK.
Although the company’s head office is based in Northampton, candidates can be located within approximately a 100-mile radius.
The role involves travelling directly from home to project sites across the UK, with door-to-door travel provided. Attendance at the Northampton head office will only be required occasionally.
Working hours are based on a 50-hour basic week, with additional overtime available. Weekend work will sometimes be required depending on project demands, but this will not be every weekend. Overtime levels will fluctuate in line with workload and project requirements.
As a Tower Crane Electrician, you will carry out the installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, servicing and fault diagnosis of the Group’s tower crane fleets.
You will work independently and as part of a team, supporting crane erectors, operators and site management to ensure cranes operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
Candidates should have electrical experience within the tower crane industry. Previous experience working with Potain or Manitowoc cranes would be beneficial but is not essential, as specific product training can be provided. Applicants must be willing to learn how to maintain and repair these crane models.
The Tower Crane Division operates a modern and diverse fleet consisting predominantly of Potain and Manitowoc models. The company promotes high engineering standards, teamwork, ongoing training, professional development and innovation.
For candidates with the appropriate skills and experience, there is scope to take on a more senior position with additional responsibility for the service and maintenance of the tower crane fleet.
This would include taking a leading role in scheduling preventative maintenance and organising and allocating the labour and equipment required to support these activities.
