Job summary

Solus, part of Aviva, is seeking a Total Loss Desk Based Engineer on a fixed-term 12-month contract in Basingstoke. You will help customers by calculating fair total loss settlements and negotiating storage and recovery costs, aiming for accurate, fair, and compassionate outcomes.

You will work within the Total Loss Team, using established methods to diagnose total loss scenarios and collaborate with internal and external partners to restore normal customer experience quickly.

Qualifications

• Must hold Current VDA ATA certification.
• Must hold Total Loss AQP accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Use tools to calculate accurate and fair total loss settlement costs.
• Negotiate accurate and fair storage and recovery costs and settle these in a timely manner.
• Be an active team member in a collaborative environment focusing on the customer and what matters to them.
• Promote customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

The role: Our Vehicle Damage Advisors are part of the Total Loss Team. This role will involve working with our customers to find the right solutions for them by demonstrating our values and work principles, and those of Aviva. You will provide solutions to our customers that are accurate, fair, efficient, and compassionate after the total loss of their vehicle. With training you will understand repair methodology and use this to confirm total loss diagnosis.

• To use all available tools to calculate accurate and fair total loss settlement costs.
• To negotiate accurate and fair storage and recovery costs and to settle these in a timely manner.
• To be an active team member in a collaborative working environment, which focuses on the customer and what matters to them.
• To promote customer satisfaction.
• To develop, and maintain relationships with external suppliers and internal business areas.
