Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing of injection cap/PET moulding tools.
  • Report and manage tooling service checks on the computer system.
  • Maintain highest safety standards while working.

Toolroom Operative

£30,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience

Golborne Location (WA3)

Job Purpose:

You will work as part of a closely skilled team ensuring all injection tools are maintained to the highest standard.

You will be a key team player but will also be able to work under their own initiative, ensuring the highest standards at all times.

It is essential that the person has a strong engineering background and the ability to read drawings and use equipment such as Lathes, surface grinders is desirable is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will carry out the servicing work of injection cap/PET moulding tools and other associated tooling.
  • Good bench working skills and the ability to use associated tools.
  • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings is essential.
  • Carry out in-house tooling service checks as specified; to report results on the computer system provided and to highlight any deviations from specification for correction.
  • The ability to work on tools in the production environment as and when required as part of the tooling team.
  • Work at the highest safety standards at all times.
  • The ability to use lifting equipment such as cranes advantages but training will be given.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • You will have served a recognised apprenticeship with 5 years post experience.
  • Minium engineering qualification either in tool making or bench fitting required.
  • Experience in injection/PET moulding tools would be advantageous.
  • The ability to use tool room equipment such as Lathes, Grinders Millers desirable.
  • You will have strong manufacturing experience or have worked in a support function supporting manufacturing.
