Toolroom Manager - £40,000 to £50,000 DOE

Full‑time Permanent – Location: Lancing – Working hours: 7am to 3pm

Are you an experienced Toolroom Manager looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a leading manufacturer in the plastics industry, is seeking a hands‑on and driven Toolroom Manager to join their senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of 12 skilled employees while ensuring the toolroom operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.

In this key role, you will manage the daily operations of the toolroom, ensuring work is distributed effectively, schedules are met and technical issues are resolved quickly. You will lead, train and mentor your team while promoting continuous improvement and maintaining a culture of safety and teamwork.

  • Manage stock levels
  • Produce risk assessments
  • Implement 6S and IOSH safety practices
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure clear communication across the business
  • Liaise with the company’s partner toolmaker in China to uphold high standards for tools supplied to UK mould shops
