Job summary

A leading automotive manufacturer in Telford is seeking an experienced Toolmaker (Die Maintenance Technician) to join their team. You will be responsible for assembling and maintaining tools, ensuring high productivity in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in maintenance engineering, with knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems, and must be willing to work night shifts. This role offers a competitive salary between £41,400 and £46,000.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast paced manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble new tools, moulds, dies, and fixtures.
  • Modify, maintain and repair existing tooling.
  • Carry out inspections to ensure components meet tight tolerances.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of work.

A global Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer are looking for a Toolmaker (Die Maintenance Technician) to join their team at their impressive site in Telford

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Toolmaker with a strong technical background within a fast-paced, press or mould environment. Operating in a fast-paced facility, you will report to the Assistant Manager in the Jig, Die & Tool section and provide routine maintenance, assembly & disassembly to press and injection mould tools

This is a fantastic opportunity with a multi-national Automotive company who supply to some the biggest OEM’s in the industry

Role:Toolmaker (Die Maintenance Technician)
Location:Telford
Salary:£41,400 - £46,000
Shift:Nights (23:00 - 07:00)

The key responsibilities of the Toolmaker role will be:

  • Assemble and disassemble new tools, moulds, dies, and fixtures to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Modify, maintain and repair existing tooling to maintain production efficiency.
  • Carry out inspections to ensure components meet tight tolerances.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to improve tool performance and longevity.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used
The key requirements of the Toolmaker will be:
  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast paced manufacturing environments such as Automotive
  • Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to work night shifts
  • Experience on mould and/or press tools
