Toolmaker Engineering Technician

Location: Primarily site-based, UK (Occasional UK travel may be required). Hours: Full Time Permanent. Salary: Competitive Salary.

Job Description

We are seeking a hands‑on Toolmaker Engineering Technician to specialise in precision toolmaking to extremely tight tolerances. This role is essential for supporting production agility, ensuring equipment reliability, and upholding site safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and refurbish high‑precision, low‑tolerance tooling using both manual and CNC equipment.
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop new tooling solutions based on engineering drawings.
  • Provide creative and timely solutions to manufacturing challenges and propose innovations to improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment through proactive housekeeping and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support the maintenance team with various activities as requested.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Assist in developing colleagues, including mentoring apprentices and sharing technical expertise.
