Job summary

Pertemps Redditch Industrial is seeking a Toolmaker for a leading composite materials manufacturer in Stourport-on-Severn. The role is full-time and permanent, working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, on day shifts with a salary between £40,000 and £42,000 per annum.

You will manufacture and maintain tooling, dies, and moulds, set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment, ensuring tools meet drawings and specs.

Job description

Pertemps Redditch Industrial seeks a Toolmaker for a leading composite materials manufacturer in Stourport-on-Severn.

This full-time, permanent position operates Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week on day shifts, offering a salary between £40,000 and £42,000 per annum.

You will manufacture and maintain tooling, dies, and moulds for pressed component production, setting up and operating lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.

Responsibilities include ensuring tools meet drawings and specifications, working safely with toolroom machinery, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and key responsibilities:

• Manufacture and maintain tooling, dies and moulds to support the production of pressed components
• Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, milling machinery, grinders and CNC equipment
• Maintain tools to ensure continued production to drawings and specs
• Working safely utilising toolroom machinery to manufacture tools to enable correct production of pressed components
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the company

Experience and skills required:

• Maintain and build tooling
• Able to safely use machinery and cutting equipment such as millers, lathes, grinders and all conventional toolroom machinery
• CNC machinery set up knowledge
• Able to understand and interpret technical drawings
• Able to work within tight tolerances
• Continuous improvement mentality

The role is based in Stourport so is commutable from Worcester, Kidderminster, Hartlebury, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Halesowen.

Salary £40-£42k per annum.
