Toolmaker - Injection Moulding & Die Casting

Location: Huddersfield

Salary: Up to £33,000

Shifts: Days, Monday - Thursday

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join a well‑established and growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in producing and maintaining high‑quality tools for the injection moulding and die casting industries.

The Role:
  • Manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tools for injection moulding and die casting.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Program and operate CNC machines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Carry out tool calibration and preventative maintenance.
About You:
  • Time‑served Toolmaker or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in CNC programming and operation; CAD/CAM software experience is a strong advantage.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
  • Competent in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, gauges, dial indicators).
  • Strong knowledge of toolmaking processes, materials, and repair methods.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Experience in CAD design/programming would be a plus.
